Imaging Department (Radiology)


Our Imaging Departments offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional procedures and provide patients with the following imaging services: Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI and SWL. These services are available on the second and third floors. This center is equipped with PACS system by which all obtained images are available in all hospital departments and wards.

  • Radiology: Six fixed X-ray devices equipped with CR 5 system located on the first and second floor
  • Ultrasound: Five fixed sonogram devices located on fifth floor (2 of which are Doppler and one is Portable)
  • CT Scan: CT Scan (16 slice model) comprised of a CT Angiography, a CT Fluoroscopy and an injector device secured by UPS system.
  • MRI: A-one-Tesla MRI device, two laser printers and one recovery room.
  • SWL: Kidney stone treatment by SWL device.

Inpatient and Outpatient Coverage

  • Radiography: Monochromatic and multichromatic radiographs are available for both inpatients and outpatients. To set an appointment, outpatients should refer directly to the admission desk. The receptionist is required to provide patients with the needed information, record and enter patients’ demographic information in HIS System, receive patients’ consent and guide them to the radiology ward. Physicians visit the inpatients in the wards and order the necessary imaging tests. Radiology requests are recorded in HIS system by the nurses. The nurse assistants will then guide the patients to the radiography ward after receiving patients’ consents.
  • Ultrasound: Diagnostic medical sonography is provided only to the inpatients. The receptionist enters the patient care application in the HIS system. Patient will be invited to come in to the sonography room and undergo the ultrasound examination. The result will be reported by the on-call radiology resident.
  • CT Scan and MRI: Similar procedures are carried out for CT Scan and MRI.
  • Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL):1- To make appointments, outpatients should refer directly to the admission desk. 2- To finalize the admission procedure and healthcare insurance confirmation, clients are required to refer to insurance and income departments.

Quality Assurance

  • Radiography: All chromatic X-rays are carried out under radiologist's supervision/ The results are reported within 24 hours/ All necessary information including the demographics, patient’s clinical and medical history, clinical diagnosis and treatment options are recorded. 
  • Sonography: Hospital radiology residents and attending physicians are committed to perform all ultrasound examinations.
  • CT Scan: All CT- Scan examinations are carried out under supervision of the radiologist. Results are reported within 24 to 72 hours.
  • MRI: MRI scans might be performed without radiologist’s supervision. Results are reported within one to seven working days.
